Artist and Illustrator, Alfred Bestall, took over the Rupert Bear strip published in the Daily Express, from Mary Tourtel in the mid 1930's. This original by him for the 1975 Rupert Annual, has his initial "B" on the art. It is an exquisite line drawing in excellent condition.
