After winning a scholarship at Salisbury Art School Derek
Fullerton found himself at the Admiralty at Bath during
World War II on the serious business of drawing torpedoes. In
1948 he came to London to work at Walt Disney's studio. He soon
realised there was a funny side to the serious business of sport
and before long became the sports cartoonist for the London
Daily Herald, bringing laughter to millions of Herald readers.
