Born in New Zealand, but educated in Fleet Street. Financial
circumstances forced Keith Waite to become a cartoonist
when he found he was too tall to work in his father's coalmine!
After several years as cartoonist on a New Zealand newspaper,
he came to England in 1951. His work has appeared in most of
the London publications and he was a leading contributor to
Punch. He produced a daily topical cartoon feature for the Daily
Sketch called "As Waite sees it".
